The department of English has been established with the inception of the college in June 1993. The department has specialisation in English Subject at UG level. The department has well qualified, experienced and innovative faculty. The teachers aim at all round development of the students from rural and tribal region. The main focus of the department is on increasing the communicative competence of the students. ICT based teaching learning facilities available are utilized for the students. Apart from regular teaching learning activities, various extracurricular activities are conducted for the students. Extra coaching classes are conducted for the academically weak students. The department is planning to start short term certificate courses in spoken and written English.
To prepare students with sound proficiency in English language to be able to face global challenges.
To cultivate literary and aesthetic approaches among the tribal students and to enhance their communicative competence.
