Arts, Science and Commerce College Harsul holds a distinctive place, is one of the leading colleges in providing quality Higher education to the Tribal masses. The college was founded in 1993 with the noble motto, “Bahujan Hitay Bahujan Sukhaay” is currently functioning smoothly under the visionary guidance of my father Shri. Prashantdada Hiray, General Secretary of the parent institution Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir. Since its inception the college is imparting quality Higher to the tribal students to prepare them to face the challenges of the mainstream world. Today the college has adopted ICT based teaching-learning that has become the need of the hour for knowledge enhancement.

The college is marching successfully in academic, cultural and sports fields. It provides infrastructure and healthy learning environment to attain Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the fields of Art and Science streams. It is not only ensuring the academic development of the students but also providing them with opportunities to survive and sustain in the competitive world by undertaking extra-curricular and co- curricular activities. Our sportsmen are representing us on national and international level. The college provides infrastructure and healthy academic surrounding to attain Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the fields of Art and Science streams. It is also running study centre of YCMOU Nashik courses considering the need of local students.

The college has acquired NAAC ‘B’ grade in 2016. It has several achievements to its credit in the form of awards, schemes, and grades. Efforts to inculcate discipline amongst students, establishing systematic mechanism of performance assessment of the students and teachers as well, promoting research, initiating consultancy services and patenting, arranging alumni/ industry-academia meetings, undertaking activities to conserve energy, protect environment, increase allegiance to the society at large to achieving better quality of life are some of the hallmark features of the college. The college is standing straight to face all the challenges in coming time in the field of education. I feel really happy when weak students from rural and tribal background progress steadily to perform better, marching and moving towards excellence.
